Back into the fray!

Everything Rapunzel suggested sounded very appealing to Charlotte at the moment, especially the shopping part. Lottie was never one to turn town a good ol’ shopping spree. She decided, however, that she could wait until the end of her trip. Charlotte smirked at the mention of a ‘handsome man’. “Ooh, a handsome man, huh? He doesn’t happen to be a prince, does he?” she joked. “I would most certainly love to have tea with you!”

She beamed. ”Excellent! Come with me!” she strode up towards the palace, the guards falling in place behind and around them at a respectable distance. It occurred to her that she hadn’t yet mentioned she was the princess. She always forgot about that. ”Well… he’s going to be a prince, when we’re married this autumn. Because… I’m a princess! And this is my home!” She gestured forward at the palace. ”He’s my fiance. His name is Eugene, and you can call him that or Flynn, or Handsome, he likes that.”

Charlotte followed Rapunzel as she took in all of their surroundings. The palace was undeniably beautiful. With her overly-enthusiastic smile and small skips woven into her walk, Lottie realized that she probably seemed very childish at the moment, but she didn’t care. It was all so exciting! Charlotte La Bouff in a real life castle! “Oh, my goodness! You’re a princess!” She was definitely squealing now. “I’ve never met a princess befor- Well, actually, there’s Tia, but that’s different! Oh, ain’t this just the bees knees?!” Lottie felt as if she was living a childhood dream. “That’s amazin’! You gettin’ married to Eugene this autumn! Congratulations!” She continued to follow Rapunzel into the beautiful palace, becoming more and more ecstatic with each step she took.

An expression that radiated pride and excitement danced across Charlotte’s face at the mention of Tiana’s restaurant. “Oh, my goodness!” she exclaimed, practically squealing in her joy. “Of course I’ve been to Tiana’s Place. Tia’s my best friend! I grew up with her!” Lottie paused and scanned her brain. Had Tiana mentioned visitors from Corona before? “Y’know, I think Tia did talk about y’all visiting from Corona once or twice,” she recalled. “It is so amazin’ that she has people comin’ from all over just to come to her restaurant.”

“Well, you’ve been doin’ a lovely job!” Charlotte commented on Corona. It really was a charming kingdom. The scenery was gorgeous, the food was fantastic and the people were very friendly. “I think I’ve been doin’ alright finding my way ‘round here,” she said, smiling widely. “But I’m only stayin’ a couple more days and I wanna make sure I see everythin’! Any ideas?”

Rapunzel’s mood increased by the second. This girl was so uplifting. It was a shame she was only going to stay a few days, Corona could use some cheering up. ”Oh yes, Tiana’s restaurant is worth a trip from anywhere! And her company too, of course. She is such a lovely person, and a good friend.” Rapunzel was so glad to have something in common with her new aquaintance.

Rapunzel thought for a moment about ideas. ”Well, I really love to hang out by the warf. There’s so many interesting people and markets down there, and I like sticking my toes in the water. There are some lovely trails at the foot of these gardens through the woods if you like to ride. And the shopping on High street is great!” She blushed a little. There was really one thing that came to mind when it came to Corona must-sees. ”And you really should meet the most handsome man in Corona.” She glanced at the sky, she had a little time. “Would you like to come in for tea?”

“Hi there, Rapunzel! My, your name is almost as pretty as you are,” Lottie smiled warm-heartedly at the girl in front of her, “and thank you very much. My real name’s Charlotte, though, Lottie’s jus’ a nickname.” It didn’t occur to Lottie that she may be rudely interrupting Rapunzel’s reading when she decided to compliment the young girl in the first place. She was simply seeking to strike up a conversation with some new people in this foreign kingdom, maybe even make a new friend or two. Rapunzel just so happened to stand out the most and catch Lottie’s attention. “Oh, I’m just visitin’. Seein’ the sights, doin’ everything the kingdom has to offer. It is just beautiful here! It’s my first time in a kingdom like this one,” she admitted, “I’m actually from New Orleans. But enough ‘bout me! How’re you today, Rapunzel?”

Rapunzel beamed. No one ever complimented her name. She gathered it was a pretty odd name. This girl was friendly! ”Oh New Orleans!” Rapunzel said excitedly. ”I went there once! With my fiance, Eugene. We went traveling a bit last winter, and we stopped by New Orleans to visit Tiana… she has a cafe there? Have you been? She’s the best cook in New Orleans, I think.” She looked around the main palace lawns, which were open to the public a bit like a park, and relatively shadow free this time of day, which is why she’d chosen it. She nodded to her guards who were standing at a safe distance to let them know Charlotte seemed okay. ”I’m glad you’re enjoying Corona so far. I’m really proud of it… we have our struggles, but we do our best.” She sighed a bit, straightening her skirt. ”I’m doing alright,” she said. No need to trouble new acquaintances with the latest drama. ”Are you finding your way okay?”

Sorry I haven’t really gotten a chance to interact with you guys yet! I was at Disneyland all day today and I will be there again tomorrow. Don’t worry, though, I’ll definitely talk more to everyone after all of these Disneyland trips! Can’t wait to officially meet you guys and have Lottie interact with you all!!))
